In the nine months of 2024, Kyrgyzstan imported 127,000 tons of citrus fruits, according to an analysis by the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine under the Ministry of Agriculture.
According to the department, out of the total citrus imports, 11,500 tons were mandarins, 108,500 tons were bananas, 1,400 tons were oranges, and 2,400 tons were lemons.
The fruits were imported from the following countries:
- China: 7,500 tons
- Iran: 2,400 tons
- Poland: 3,500 tons
- Uzbekistan: 16,700 tons
- Turkey: 308 tons
Additionally, the department reported that 19,000 tons of dried fruits and 486 tons of dried vegetables were imported, with the largest share coming from China (18,100 tons).
