In September, Brazil experienced an uptick in grape exports, as reported by Comex Stat data, with shipments reaching 3.17 thousand tons. This volume indicates a 283% increase from August, albeit a 6% decrease from the same period last year. Analysts from Hortifrúti/Cepea have pinpointed the cause of this year's diminished export volume to a scarcity of grapes in the São Francisco Valley, where producers are balancing supply between domestic and international markets.
Expectations for exports are optimistic for October, particularly in the latter half, coinciding with an increase in harvest volumes. Since the commencement of the export season, stakeholders have observed advantageous pricing for Brazilian grapes, despite some instances of quality concerns, leading to robust returns in the current year.
