Odesa region sees significant rise in agriculture output in 2024

In the Odesa region of Ukraine, a notable increase in the production of vegetables, potatoes, and fruit has been reported for the year 2024. The head of the Odesa regional state administration, Oleh Kiper, highlighted the significant growth in these sectors compared to the previous year. Specifically, the vegetable harvest saw an increase of 97.5 thousand tons. Potatoes production surged to 276.1 thousand tons, marking a growth of 103.4% over the last year. Furthermore, the fruit and berry sector also experienced substantial growth, with a total harvest of 75 thousand tons, representing an increase of 113.3%. These figures underscore the region's agricultural progress and the effectiveness of local farming practices. Kiper emphasized the dedication of Odesa's farmers, attributing the successful year to their hard work and the region's agricultural potential.
