Farmers and small agricultural producers in Uzbekistan have increased vegetable production by 6.1%

Over the first nine months of 2024, farming enterprises and small agricultural producers in Uzbekistan have grown 8.6 million tons of vegetables, according to a report from the country's Statistical Agency. This is a 6.1% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

The majority of the harvest, namely 5.8 million tons, was grown in subsidiary farms. Farming enterprises produced 2.4 million tons, while other farms contributed an additional 312.8 thousand tons to the total volume.

As of October 1, Uzbekistan exported vegetables and fruits worth $1 billion, which is 25.7% more than the previous year.
