From November 5 to 7, the Dubai Exhibition Centre hosted the 10th Gulfood Manufacturing. Over the past decade, the trade fair has developed into an important meeting place in the field of food technology and plant engineering, and now also attracts many European participants. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, we talked to two German exhibitors, Elea Technology and Kronen GmbH, about the development and further growth potential of the trade fair.
"Gulfood Manufacturing 2024 was a successful trade fair in many respects," summarizes Johannes Pfeiffer of Elea Technology at the end of the third and final day of the trade fair. He points to the impressive numbers: more than 5,500 exhibitors and visitors from around the world made their way to Dubai this year to find out about the latest developments in food technology. "This means that the trade fair is now a must for internationally operating machine manufacturers and other players in the field of food technology. I was particularly impressed by the high quality of the visitors on site, which in turn enabled targeted discussions with decision-makers. From our point of view, Gulfood Manufacturing is the perfect place to meet with existing customers and partners, as well as to talk to potential new customers from the Middle East, North Africa, India, Southeast Asia and many other countries. Representatives from the French fries, chips, dried fruit and fruit juice sectors were the main ones to visit our stand and find out about the latest PEF (pulsed electric fields) solutions."
Johannes Pfeiffer from Elea Technology: After exhibiting at the trade fair in 2018, 2022 and 2023, the Quakenbrück-based company was exhibiting in Dubai for the fourth time. This year, the focus was once again on the innovative PEF process.
Processing and packaging vegetables, fruit and salad
"Our participation at Gulfood Manufacturing 2024 was a great success. Together with our representative KayDee Food Processing & Packaging Solutions LLC, KRONEN has been exhibiting at the trade fair in Dubai for several years," says Jean-Marc Hammann, Export Division Manager at KRONEN GmbH. "The fair was very well attended, and a large number of regional and international visitors showed great interest in our solutions for processing and packaging vegetables, fruits, salad and other food products. The fair also provided an excellent opportunity to connect with existing customers. Many of them visited our stand to discuss future projects."
