Russ Semeran, CEO of the Semeran Trading Group (STG) will share his business story on Dec. 11th at the upcoming New York Produce Show and Conference, where STG will also be a Platinum Sponsor of the NYPS Keynote Breakfast.
While STG is participating for the first time at the international trade event (held Dec. 10-12 in New York City), the company has a 25-year history in global commodity trading. Its range of products includes recyclable recovered materials, a variety of biofuels, paper pulp, as well as eco-friendly agricultural packaging.

"By tapping into our innovation and adaptability, we have optimized the logistics of providing agricultural materials to produce farmers, exporters, and ripening facilities around the world," said Semeran. "Ever mindful of our strong commitment to environmental stewardship, we continue to search for practical, cost-effective solutions for our global clientele. We have now expanded into distributing a diverse selection of agricultural products from Latin America, specializing in avocados and papayas."
While he may be new to working with perishable produce, Semeran is no stranger to the world of commodity trading, pointing to his decades-long history of collaborating with stakeholders on both sides of the ocean.
"I understand how unforgiving, volatile, and competitive the perishable produce market is," added Semeran. "This is due to many serious challenges, including the supply-and-demand continuum, the shortage of containers at ports and on vessels, currency exchange fluctuations, geo-political risks, and numerous perishability factors. I am not afraid of these obstacles, and we're ready to gear up."
At the Keynote Breakfast, held in the Jacob Javits Center, Semeran will tell his story of transforming his life's work from handling waste to advancing recycled packaging.
