Mission Produce, Inc. announced its participation in the New York Produce Show (NYPS) from Dec. 10-12, 2024, where it will introduce its retail-ready mango bags at booth #108. Diana McClean, Director of Marketing & Communications, expressed enthusiasm for the launch, highlighting the collaborative effort behind the product designed to enhance the mango shopping experience in the United States. The product aims to cater to the demand for value packs in the mango category.
The company will commence distribution of its mango bags in January, utilizing fruit from its vertically integrated farm in Olmos, Peru. The 4-count mango pack features a high-graphic, stand-up pouch for ease of merchandising and consumer convenience. This innovation will be featured in the NYPS new product showcase.
Mission Produce is also focusing on avocado and mango promotions related to healthy eating in January and the Big Game in February, noting a significant increase in avocado sales in January and the prominence of the Big Game as a peak period for avocado consumption.
McClean anticipates a dynamic start to 2025, with the introduction of the mango bags and ongoing promotional activities for avocados and mangos.
