Growing blueberries in pots is necessary when the soil is not suitable for the physiological needs of the blueberry. Even when the soil has a pH lower than 6.0, the pot guarantees better continuity over time of the correct acidification of the substrate and correct fertilization. On the other hand, there is a significant saving in the use of water compared to growing in soil. For a good crop, a pot that guarantees water drainage is also necessary (since the blueberry is sensitive to water drainage), a suitable substrate, balanced fertilization, and an adequate management system.
A European conference on growing blueberries in pots will be held in Milan on March 12, 2025, mainly held by Sebastian Ochoa, the greatest blueberry expert in the world. Innovative technology suppliers will also intervene with Ochoa, to give added value to correct cultivation. Connection by flight available to Amsterdam, to participate on 13/03/25 to the Berry Congress.
"Sebastian Ochoa will talk about how to set up a correct cultivation, with all the technologies to achieve it. Thomas Drahorad of Italianberry will be the moderator of the conference. The sponsors will talk about their proposed technological innovations, also visible in the exhibition area. The evening before, March 11, there will be a cocktail and networking dinner with Sebastian Ochoa for those who wish to participate by reservation, while the following day, March 13, there will be visits to the sponsors to see their technological solutions. Here too, for those who wish to participate, by reservation "
