According to the Statistics Agency, Uzbekistan made notable progress in the apple export market from January to November 2024, with the total value of exports reaching $14.4 million.
Neighboring countries were the main buyers, with Kazakhstan leading the pack, purchasing 34,309 tons. Russia followed with 5,719 tons, and Kyrgyzstan imported 3,730 tons. Smaller shipments were sent to Tajikistan (128 tons), Mongolia (80 tons), and other nations (148 tons combined).
While Uzbekistan exported a significant volume of apples, it also heavily relied on imports to meet its domestic demand. During the same period, the country brought in 92,135 tons of apples, worth $26.8 million.
The largest share came from Iran, which supplied 58,603 tons. Other major suppliers included:
- Kyrgyzstan: 13,218 tons
- Poland: 5,984 tons
- China: 5,738 tons
- Ukraine: 3,335 tons
- Other countries: 5,257 tons.
