Cargo Plast GmbH and Qpall announce distribution partnership for plastic pallets

"Increasing demand for plastic pallets in the export of fruit and vegetables"

Cargo Plast GmbH and Qpall are entering into a strategic partnership with immediate effect to jointly expand the distribution of innovative plastic pallet solutions. This collaboration is designed to combine the strengths of both companies and offer customers an even wider range of efficient, sustainable, and hygienic pallets for various industries and applications, including fruit and vegetables. "The partnership will see us combine our expertise and resources to take the distribution of advanced plastic pallet solutions to a new level," said Robert Reck-Heinrich, Managing Director of Cargo Plast GmbH. The company, based in Salem (Lake Constance district in Germany), will act as a distribution partner in the entire DACH region with immediate effect.

Robert Reck-Heinrich (left) and the Cargoplast team recently visited the Qpall plant to find out more about their pallet production.

The cornerstones of both cooperation partners include high-quality products manufactured using advanced technology, sustainable and short supply chains, and individually tailored solutions. Cargo Plast GmbH has been dedicated to the procurement and marketing of plastic crates and large containers, especially for the agricultural sector (including viticulture, fruit growing, and vegetable growing), for many years. "We were looking for a new supplier to further expand our range of products, especially in the area of plastic pallets. With Qpall, we have now gained a strong partner that shares our vision of sustainable and innovative plastic pallets. Our joint sales strategy enables us to serve our customers even better and to make their logistics processes more efficient and environmentally friendly," Reck-Heinrich continues. The plastic pallets are now offered as a separate product line.

The range of Qpall products can be divided into three areas: Light pallets are light and flexible, making them ideal for export, air freight, and applications where weight and hygiene are crucial. Medium pallets are versatile, robust, and hygienic – and are therefore particularly suitable for medium loads in logistics and warehousing. Heavy pallets are designed primarily for maximum stability and load capacity, combined with maximum durability and easy cleaning.

Growing demand for plastic pallets
The growing demand for plastic pallets for agricultural purposes was an important motivation for the sales cooperation, Reck-Heinrich confirms. "We are seeing that plastic pallets are increasingly in demand, especially in the export business. Even in countries where wooden pallets are still common, we see that plastic is gaining importance, especially since its use is simpler, more efficient, and, above all, more cost-effective. In the fruit and vegetable processing sector, the use of hygienic pallets is already a basic requirement." In German horticulture, many companies have switched to plastic crates and large containers in recent years, he concludes.
