The event "Fresh Peru: Connecting Flavors and Opportunities", organized by PromPerú Benelux and Scandinavia, was held in Rotterdam on February 3, 2025. This initiative, led by trade specialist and director Gycs Gordon, brought Peruvian fresh fruit and vegetable exporters together with European importers interested in this South American country's products.
The meeting in Rotterdam served as a prelude to the Peruvian delegation's participation in the Fruit Logistica fair, which was held in Berlin on February 5, 6, and 7. Among the participating companies were producers of organic bananas, mangoes, ginger, avocados, asparagus, mandarins, and other internationally demanded foods.

Among the organic banana exporters that took part in the event were the Asociación de Productores de Banano Orgánico Valle del Chira, Cooperativa Agraria APBOSMAM, Cooperativa Agraria de Usuarios Río Valle and NORCHIRA. From January to November 2024, banana exports reached 148,526 tons, with a 12% year-on-year growth. Europe is the main export destination, with the Netherlands accounting for 37% of shipments. San Martín and Piura are the country's leading banana producers.
Among the fresh grape exporters participating were Complejo Agroindustrial Beta, Agroexportaciones Llacta SAC, Domel Produce SAC, and MA Export SAC. The Peruvian fresh grape season starts in August, reaches its peak between October and January, and ends in March. In the 2024/2025 campaign, a total of 78.1 million boxes (640,000 tons) is expected; an increase compared to the previous cycle. Ica accounts for more than 50% of the national production, with Piura, La Libertad, and Lambayeque also playing a key role.

The most exported varieties are the Sweet Globe, with 14.7 million boxes, the Red Globe, with 9.6 million boxes, and the Autumn Crisp, with 9.1 million boxes.
At the event, there were also some exporters of mangoes, ginger, avocados, asparagus, mandarins, and other products, such as Agro Mi Perú Foods SAC, Fusion Foods SAC, Cooperativa Agraria Cafetalera Central Alta Montaña, APASEM, CG Agroindustria S.A., and Cooperativa Agroindustrial Kivinaki.
In this 2024/2025 season, the Peruvian blueberry production should reach 323,928 tons. Excluding the United Kingdom, a total of 68,858 tons are expected to be exported to Europe, 37.6% more than in the previous campaign.
Meanwhile, avocado exports are expected to reach 591,000 tons worth US$ 1.270 million. Europe is the main destination, with 68% of shipments. La Libertad and Ica are the leading producers.
