From February 11-14, the global organic industry met at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center. A total of around 2,300 exhibiting companies from 94 countries presented their diversity and innovative strengths at BIOFACH 2025. According to the latest figures, around 35,000 visitors from all over the world came to Nuremberg. FreshPlaza.de also took a tour of the site on the opening day and highlighted the exhibitors and new products in the organic fruit and vegetable sector.

On the first day of the fair, the exhibitors were mostly positive about the results so far. A significant number of them had already exhibited at Fruit Logistica just under a week before. In contrast to the leading international trade fair in Berlin, the focus at BIOFACH is less on fresh fruit and vegetables and more on other foods and processed fruit, vegetable, and potato products. Nevertheless, the BIOFACH is still an indispensable trade fair date for many companies in the industry. "Experience shows that targeted discussions with buyers of organic products from food retailers and the natural food trade are less common in Berlin than here in Nuremberg. In this respect, the BIOFACH is still the appropriate platform for many specialized organic suppliers to present themselves," the exhibitors agreed.
The main organizer also drew a very positive conclusion: "As Tina Andres said at the press conference on Tuesday, BIOFACH is not just a trade fair for the retail sector, but for the industry as a whole. All participants have demonstrated this over the last four days in the exhibition halls and at the congress," summarized Dominik Dietz, Director of BIOFACH. "The feedback from our customers shows that our new, compact hall structure worked, as well as the expansion of the supporting program. The mood was excellent! Almost 80 percent of the space has already been booked for 2026. It was impressive to see how solution-oriented and innovative the community is in its approach to the multiple crises, and to feel the strength of the organic industry!" Dietz continued.
