KIUÍ by ILFRES

The northern hemisphere green kiwi campaign is entering its final stages

Different stock situations are being recorded among the main continental producers of Hayward kiwi fruit varieties in Italy and Greece.

Commenting on the season that will come to an end in a few weeks' time is Raffaele Lasciarrea (in the photo below), sales manager of ILFRES, a company that has been operating on the national and European fruit and vegetable scene for years with the import of early and counter-seasonal products.

"At KIUÍ, we are expecting to close the sales campaign by the first half of May, so as to give continuity to all customers loyal to the brand. Going beyond that would mean risking overlapping with products from the southern hemisphere but, above all, not being able to guarantee a degree of pressure and product hardness that conforms to KIUÍ standards. During the current campaign, we have activated new collaborations with agricultural companies in order to boost our European and non-European exports."

"The sales trend was satisfactory despite the very competitive campaign, given the good availability of the product in terms of production volumes. "Demand in general was affected by quotations, which were high on average. However, we managed to penetrate new markets to the satisfaction of both customers and ourselves. We have also optimized sales of smaller grades through targeted promotional activities with big retail chains, and we have seen a growing demand for price-cutting activities."

"Through our new company ILFRES Espana and our brand KIUÍ, we have built new solid European relationships that we will continue to develop in the coming months with different export products, including Apulian grapes".
