A new company, Rokytne Berry, has launched in Rivne, Ukraine, focusing on buying, sorting, and freezing wild and cultivated berries. The business specializes in processing raspberries, blueberries, and wild berries like lingonberries, blackberries, and cranberries. With advanced technology and a focus on quality, the company is already gaining market demand and exploring export opportunities.
The idea behind Rokytne Berry had been developing for a long time, says Tetiana Razhyk, the company's director. Initially, she and her colleague worked as independent entrepreneurs before registering the company in early 2024. Instead of selling raw berries, they decided to focus on sorting, cleaning, and freezing high-quality products for further processing.
The business also has freezing facilities. Berries are first cooled, sorted, and then frozen at -22°C to maintain their quality. The company carefully processes each type of berry to ensure top-grade products for further use in food production and pharmaceuticals.
To ensure top standards, the company invested in modern sorting equipment from Meyer and Insortex to clean and separate berries efficiently.
In its first season, Rokytne Berry exported 187 tons of raspberries to Poland and the Czech Republic, proving its potential in the international market.
Currently, eight employees work at the facility, handling the processing and quality control. The company plans to expand its production capacity and start organic raspberry farming on 15 hectares. With a strong foundation in processing and growing demand, Rokytne Berry aims to become a key player in Ukraine's berry industry, supporting both local farmers and the regional economy.
