The majority of the bananas came from Ecuador, Kyrgyzstan's main supplier. The average price of Ecuadorian bananas in Kyrgyzstan was $721 per ton.

Other suppliers include:

  • Russia: 136 tons worth $0.15 million in 2025, down from 271 tons worth $0.33 million in 2024 reflecting a 50% decrease in volume.
  • Imports from China remained stable, with 128 tons purchased for $96,000 in 2025, compared to 127 tons for $63,000 in 2024. This suggests that the price of bananas from China has increased significantly, rising from approximately $496 per ton in 2024 to $750 per ton in 2025.
