© BLEIn the oranges sector, Spanish oranges offer predominated, primarily Navelate and Lane Late. Salustiana juice oranges of the same origin played only a minor role. Egyptian Valencia Late oranges were cheaper than the Spanish competition and could also be easily placed as juice oranges. According to the BLE, Turkish Washington Navel oranges lost a great deal of their importance, were only sporadically imported, and in some cases disappeared from the market altogether. The presence of Moroccan Salustiana oranges also declined.

In the blood orange segment, Italian Moro and Tarocco continued to dominate. Spanish Cara Cara and Sanguinelli followed in terms of importance. As is usual at this late point in the season, availability was apparently limited. Nevertheless, demand could generally be met. As a result, there were no major price corrections.

Apples
Domestic loads dominated, with Elstar, Braeburn, Tenroy, and Jonagold forming the basis of the supply. However, numerous other varieties were also available, such as Wellant, Pinova, Boskoop, and Kanzi. Prices remained relatively constant with favorable business conditions; domestic products increased in price in some cases and remained at a high level.
Pears
Williams Christ, Cheeky and Rosemarie from South Africa dominated, flanked by Celina. The first Packham's Triumphs of the same origin arrived in Hamburg, where they cost between €15 and €16 per 12.5-kg package. Deliveries from the Southern Hemisphere increased.
Table grapes
South African loads predominated and clearly set the tone. Although deliveries from Peru and Chile increased slightly, they did not play more than a supplementary role. Indian supplies in the form of Thompson Seedless gained in importance.
Strawberries
The range of goods consisted primarily of Italian, Greek, and Spanish loads. Offers from the Netherlands supplemented the range, with products from Belgium and Germany rounding it off. The supply apparently increased.
Mandarins
Spanish Nadorcott and Orri formed the basis of the offer; in Frankfurt, Ortanique also arrived. In terms of volume, Israeli Orri followed. Moroccan Nadorcott and Turkish Murcott had already withdrawn from the market in some places.
Lemons
Spanish Primofiori dominated, but in some places, they were already flanked by the more expensive Verna. Deliveries from Turkey slowed down in some places, causing their prices to rise due to the volume.
Bananas
Availability was just sufficient to meet demand. The supply situation had improved a little in some places. Nevertheless, prices often remained constant. In Cologne and Munich, prices changed, but not by much.
Cauliflower
Italian offers dominated the scene, supplemented by shipments from France and Spain. The quality was not always convincing: a wide price range was therefore established for both the Italian and Spanish loads. The start of the domestic season is imminent: the first loads may arrive as early as week 14.
Lettuce
In the case of iceberg lettuce, Spanish loads predominated. They were usually available on a quasi-monopoly basis, with Turkish imports only appearing in Berlin. In the case of colored lettuce, the domestic season picked up speed: the supply noticeably increased.
Cucumbers
The Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany dominated the business of cucumbers in almost equal measure. In addition, there were only very few Greek and Spanish items, which disappeared from the market over the course of the week. Overall, the supply expanded.
Tomatoes
Vine and beef tomatoes came primarily from Spain, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Cherry tomatoes were mainly supplied from Italy and Spain. Round tomatoes came in particular from Turkey, Morocco, and Spain. The supply had noticeably expanded overall.
Sweet peppers
Spanish supplies continued to dominate. However, the presence of Dutch offers increased noticeably. Belgium and Germany also gained market share. Demand was quite favorable, and the end of Ramadan improved the possibilities for placement.
Asparagus
The season slowly but surely picked up speed: domestic deliveries expanded noticeably. In particular, in the area of white asparagus, where Greek and Italian offers set the tone, the domestic loads meanwhile also played a role. The first Dutch loads were also available.
