Oxfam and partners launch "One Month Without Supermarkets" in Belgium

Consomaction, Oxfam-Magasins du Monde, and Collectif 5C have launched the "One Month Without Supermarkets" challenge in Belgium. The aim of the organizations is to raise consumer awareness of short distribution channels and encourage them to buy more local, sustainable, and ethical products throughout the month of April.

To mark the occasion, Oxfam-Magasins du Monde has even published its "survival tips without supermarkets, to resist over-consumption and find food off the beaten aisles." "One month with vegetable baskets, with small shops, local initiatives, cooperatives, grocery shops, bulk food, markets, fair trade, second-hand goods, according to the principles of agroecology and social economy."
