Last year, Kazakhstan exported 170,000 tons of fruits and berries abroad, marking a 23.2% increase compared to 2023. Suppliers earned $21.8 million from these exports.
The export of melons and watermelons also grew by 15.7%, reaching 72,800 tons. The list of purchasing countries includes Russia, Belarus, Latvia, Ukraine, Mongolia, Germany, and Kyrgyzstan.
Kazakhstan also sold more apples and pears abroad, with exports rising by 19.4%, reaching 19,400 tons. Russia remained the main importer, purchasing 16,900 tons (+28.5%). However, exports to Uzbekistan (1,800 tons), Kyrgyzstan (167.4 tons), and Belarus (36 tons) decreased by 30.7%, 1.8 times, and 1.9 times, respectively.
Grapes have also gained popularity abroad. Their export increased by 1.5 times, reaching 23,900 tons. The main destinations were Russia, Tajikistan, Belarus, and Uzbekistan. Notably, in 2023, the latter two countries did not import grapes from Kazakhstan.
Sales of peaches, plums, cherries, and strawberries nearly doubled, reaching 28,300 tons. These fruits and berries were mainly shipped to Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
On the other hand, exports of pineapples, dates, and mangoes decreased by 16.3%, dropping to 9,000 tons. These exotic fruits were also exported to Russia, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.
Exports of persimmons and kiwis saw an 11% decline, totaling 8,700 tons. The main buyers were Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
Additionally, citrus fruit exports decreased slightly by 4.6% (7,300 tons). Oranges, tangerines, grapefruits, and lemons were shipped to Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
