Changes at the head of Cofruid'Oc and Cofruid'Oc Méditerranée

After 36 years at the head of French fruit and vegetable cooperative Cofruid'Oc, Didier Crabos, who was the first manager recruited in 1989, officially handed over the reins on April 1st to Sébastien Tripon after a fifteen-month transition period, and to Philippe Jean, who manages the Cofruid'Oc Méditerranée sales office.

© Cofruid'Oc Sébastien Tripon is a former executive of Florette Food Service France and has worked for many years with Cofruid'Oc in a three-way partnership in apples for McDonald's France. He shares the vision of the pioneers, which is to combine supply chain and market approaches, producers and customers, as cohesion and quality contribute to the economic well-being of producers.

© Cofruid'Oc Philippe Jean has been head of business development at the Cofruid'Oc Méditerranée sales office for 18 years. He embodies the Cofruid'Oc spirit, which is a sense of teamwork to serve an economic project with a dynamic of continuous progress. He is the driving force behind a number of developments and strong brands in the apple and asparagus sectors, reflected in the signature of Cofruid'Oc Méditerranée: "producers of true flavors."

© Cofruid'Oc To celebrate these changes, an event was organized on March 28th in the Camargue, where Didier Crabos' values of conviviality, authenticity, and gourmet taste were the order of the day. The event highlighted the major role played by the chairman and CEO team in the successful development of the cooperative, the unique role played by the Pink Lady sector since 1994 in the development of the production companies for which Didier Crabos was chairman for 27 years, the extent of the commitment to the collective, and the original model for diversifying activities through the Cofruly subsidiary on the Lyon-Corbas wholesale market, still run by Christian Berthe since 1991.
