Technical Sales Specialist

Since 1958 Paul Boers Manufacturing has been providing greenhouse systems across North America. Our mission at Paul Boers Manufacturing is to provide our customers with superior quality greenhouse structures and systems at a competitive price and unmatched service. 

We are looking for an Outside Sales Representative for the Midwest USA territory.  This position is responsible for new business development of greenhouse projects for plastic covered greenhouses and systems, you will maintain existing customer relations, generate leads, place sales visits, close sales and provide after sales service.

Our newest team member must be self motivated, want to drive sales and revenue growth while relationship building.  We are a well established company in Niagara, and we pride ourselves on building long lasting relationships with our customers. 

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establish and develop new customers; researching areas to determine new and potential customers and to develop these accounts.
  • Manage the sales cycle: from the initial phone contact, to face-to-face appointments, negotiations to final closing.
  • After sales service – liaise between your customers and the company for any questions that may arise during design, production and install.
  • Follow-up on quotations on a regular basis and update probability ranking.
  • Cooperate with technical department in preparation of drawings and material listing.
  • Maintain detailed call out lists, win/loss and quotation reports.
  • Strive to achieve well-defined prospecting and sales targets.
  • Responsible for sales in designated territory.
  • Provide support to active dealers.
  • Attend tradeshows and seminars both domestic and international.
  • This is not a remote position, regular office attendance is required

Qualifications:

  • College diploma - Business Administration, Marketing or a related field or equivalent experience required
  • 2-4 years of direct work experience in a B-to-B sales capacity
  • Valid G Drivers License and passport
  • Able to travel frequently both in Canada and USA
