Northern European Sales Manager

Location: Europe (Netherlands preferred, with travel across regions)
Defined Sales Areas: Scandinavia, Germany, Poland, Northern Netherlands, Czechia

Employment Type: Full-time

Reports To: Strategy Director Salary: €50,000 - €70,000 basic dependant on experience, OTE €110,000+

Purpose of the Role 

The Northern European Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market penetration, and building strategic relationships across Scandinavia, Germany, Poland, Northern Netherlands, and Czechia. This role will play a critical part in strengthening NLight’s brand presence, working closely with growers, partners, and internal teams to deliver tailored lighting solutions that drive success. 

Key Responsibilities 

Sales & Market Development 

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve ambitious revenue targets across 

Northern Europe. 

• Drive market expansion efforts, securing new business opportunities while reinforcing 

relationships with existing clients. 

• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, ensuring sustained growth across all key 

markets. 

• Provide market intelligence, identifying trends, competitive positioning, and opportunities 

for expansion. 

Client Engagement & Partnerships 

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, including horticulture growers, 

distributors, and industry stakeholders. 

• Position NLight as a trusted partner, offering tailored lighting solutions that enhance 

efficiency and yield improvements. 

• Oversee pilot projects and trials, demonstrating the value of NLight’s solutions to 

prospective customers. 

Regional Strategy & Execution 

• Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to align regional activities with overall 

European strategy. 

• Represent NLight at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand 

visibility. 

• Work closely with marketing teams to develop region-specific campaigns that boost 

customer engagement. 

Reporting & Performance Management 

• Track, analyse, and report sales performance metrics, ensuring transparency and 

accountability. 

• Provide regular insights and updates to senior leadership on market conditions and 

business development progress. 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 

• Annual Sales Revenue – Meet or exceed 5,000 fixtures per annum. 

• Sales Pipeline Strength – Maintain a robust and active pipeline of prospective deals. 

• Client Retention & Growth – Secure long-term commitments and repeat business. 

• Create key contacts with local consultants, contractors, and cooperatives. 

• Market Expansion – Demonstrate measurable growth and penetration across assigned 

territories. 

Required Skills & Experience 

• Proven track record in sales leadership, preferably within the horticulture or controlledenvironment sectors. 

• Deep understanding of the Scandinavian, German, Polish, Dutch, and Czech horticulture 

markets, including key industry trends. 

• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with experience managing complex 

sales cycles. 

• Ability to work independently, taking ownership of sales strategy and execution. 

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills. 

• Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region.
