Because of the rainy weather in the regions of Shanghai, the honey peaches from Yangshan were not sweet enough. "Normally we only start the harvest when the sugar content reaches 12-13 brix," explains Tao Xiaolan, the land owner of the Yangshan farming grounds in Wuxi.
"Yuhualu honey peaches represent the honey peaches of Yangshan. The supply period lasts two weeks. In mid July, the peaches are in full bloom. At this time, the Chaohui peaches are ripe. These are bigger, with a more stable sugar content and are produced in bigger quantities. Ar the end of July, the Yangshan peaches with the best reputation, Hujing peaches, go on sale."
The landowner of the Yangshan honey peaches, Tao Xiaolan, was born and raised in Yangshan. Older generations started to grow peaches in Yangshan, so many years of cultivation experience has accumulated here.
Seeing prospects for development, Tao Xiaolan implemented scientific cultivation methods at his family farm. He created his own brand and continues to improve packaging and logistics.
