Fireblight found in Estonia

The Estonian Agricultural Board has discovered a case of Fireblight in the country for the first time ever.

Neighbouring countries, Lithuania, Latvia and Belarus have experienced cases before, in 2005 and 2007 respectively.

The Agricultural Board is working to learn the origin of the contagion and asking owners of rosaceous plants to stay vigilant.
