Armenia: Spayka exports 3 thousand tons of apricots to CIS countries

Spayka Company has exported 3 thousand tons of apricots to CIS countries so far, the company’s representative Karen Baghdasarian told reporters.

According to him, Spayka purchases apricots for 400-500 AMD per kilogram from farmers. In addition to this, work is being carried out to organize the export of apricots to European Union countries, but there is a quality certification problem that is also related to producers. Baghdasarian said the wholesale price of one kilogram of apricots is currently 700 AMD in foreign markets.

This year Spayka accounted for 65% of fruit and vegetable exports from Armenia.
