Bolivia: Drought and frost damage 28,000 hectares of potato

The different climatic events in the Department of Cochabamba (Bolivia) have affected more than 26,000 families so far and destroyed 28,000 hectares of potato crops among others.

The Secretary of Mother Earth from the Government of Cochabamba, Tatiana Sanabria, confirmed that since the beginning of the current season they have dealt with different climate events such as floods, hail, frost and a drought that damaged crops and affected farming families.

According to the latest reports from the Interior, 50 communities in the municipalities of Capinota Tarata Tiquipaya Sipe, Sacabamba and Vacas were affected by a frost that burned season crops.
