Quarantine products from Moldova arrive in Russia

On 2 November 2014, at the international checkpoint Krupets, inspectors of Russian Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service in Orel and Kursk regions detected a quarantine pest. Golden potato cyst nematode was found in a load of potatoes, weighing 20.95 MT. The products were grown in Moldova and intended for import into the Bryansk region, Russia.

Import of quarantine goods into the Russian Federation is prohibited by law. Thus, the contaminated load of regulated products is returned to sender.
