Annual symposium California Melon Research Board
The California Melon Research Board (CMRB) will host a gathering of melon producers, handler and industry supporters at their annual symposium on January 6, 2016. The action packed symposium will feature a variety of presentations from both the research community as well as special guest Dr. Henry Miller, the Stanford University professor who authored “The Colossal Hoax of Organic Agriculture”.
“We hope to bring together all who are interested in the melon industry, not just from California, but from across the US and abroad”, said Milas Russell, Jr. Chairman of the CMRB. Mr. Russell continued, “our industry is at a critical time not only in consumption of melons, but in the processes used to grow, harvest and bring to market this wonderful fruit.”
The symposium will continue its tradition of highlighting advancements in melon varieties, growing technics and harvesting. Also on tap will be presentations from past grant recipients updating on the progress of various projects.
The CMRB will host their annual symposium at the Marriott Hotel - Gaslamp in San Diego, CA on January 6, 2016.
The CMRB welcomes all and invites you to contact JD Allen at [email protected] to RSVP for the event. The final day to register is December 11, 2015. The CMRB has a limited number of available special rate rooms for the event.
