Greek fruit exports keep rising

Greek exports have increase by volume and value over the 2015-2016 period and keep rising according to Incofruit Hellas. In a report The Federation reported that in 2016 exports of fruits and vegetables will record an increase of 16-18%. This is an increase over the previous year and surpasses the 1.5-1.6 million tons.

Despite the fact that all trade weighed sale prices per kilo are down with the Russian embargo an opening of new markets and a low domestic consumption led to a 1 year record in exports of vegetables and fresh fruit in the 2015-2016 period.
