On 23 November, Cosco Shipping and Jingdong signed a strategic partnership in Shanghai. Xu Lirong, chairman of Cosco Shipping, Cosco CEO Wan Min, Jingdong chairman and CEO Liu Qiangdong, and Jingdong chief strategy Liao Jianwen witnessed the signing. Cosco vice president Huang Xiaowen and distribution CEO Wang Zhenhui signed the contract.
In the strategic partnership, both parties agreed that they would develop their collaboration on many areas, such as shipping, distribution, e-commerce, science and technology, and finance. They especially want to focus on delivery, overseas storage, and cold chain distribution, and bring their advantages in research and technology into play, so that they can improve their customer data analyses.
