Del Monte Fresh Produce opens new distribution facility in Houston, Texas

Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A., has announced the opening of its state-of-the-art distribution and processing center in its Houston, Texas (Facility).

This 96,285 square foot Facility on approximately 8.5 acres is Del Monte Fresh Produce’s 24th distribution, processing and repacking operation in North America and now gives the company four facilities in Texas to better serve its customers throughout North America.

“Our new Facility includes state-of-the art ripening rooms, multi-temperature storage areas and value-added services, such as fruit and vegetable processing capabilities, protein production, Direct Store Delivery (DSD), customized packing and sorting, and Just-in-Time (JIT) delivery, and is a testament to our continued commitment to unparalleled service for our retail partners and consumers,” said Dennis Christou, Vice President of Marketing, North America.
