AVI and OP Giuliano Pugliafruit reach an agreement to produce ARRA grapes

Recently, OP Giuliano Pugliafruit, an Italian based company, specialising in the production and marketing of fresh produce, were licensed with the ARRA™ table grape varieties. The ARRA varieties are the property of ARD, a subsidiary of Giumarra Vineyards Corporation, Bakersfield, California. The varieties are represented exclusively by the Grapa™ company globally and AVI is the ARRA exclusive European agent.

ARRA 15

AVI is extremely pleased as OP Giuliano Pugliafruit are licensed with ARRA varieties over significant areas, including the white varieties ARRA 15, ARRA 30, the red varieties ARRA 29, ARRA 19 and the fantastic late black variety ARRA 32.

ARRA 19 e ARRA 32

During the licensing process of the ARRA varieties, it was brought to the attention of OP Giuliano Pugliafruit that the ARRAONE variety, which is mistakenly known as Autumn Giant, is also part of the ARRA range, and to that end, OP Giuliano Pugliafruit immediately regularized their position, becoming an authorized licensed producer of the ARRAONE variety.

ARRA 30

AVI calls on all growers who are producing ARRAONE (aka Autumn Giant) without a license to get in contact and legalize their position for the mutual benefit of all parties. As no penalties will be enforced on unlicensed growers who come forward of their own accord, AVI asks that all such unauthorized growers take this opportunity to move forward towards a productive and legitimate future.

ARRA 29

From the production point of view, 2018 is looking great and we believe that the market is looking for a high-quality product that can conquer the segment of Premium grapes. Given the ARRA’s taste and quality, already confirmed by the request of exclusivity by some national and foreign supermarket chains, we believe that this is the path to be pursued.

AVI welcomes all growers to visit them on the 9th 10th and 11th of May at MacFrut International Exhibition in Rimini, Italy, Hall D5, stand 158.
