Valagro, a leading company in the production and commercialization of biostimulants and special nutrients, has announced that it will construct a new plant in the US. The construction of the new production facility follows the opening of another strategic production site inaugurated in April 2017 in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
The US plant will be built in the county of Orangeburg, South Carolina, as indicated by an official note published yesterday by the Department of Commerce of SC and will cost approximately 14 million dollars. In addition, the opening of the plant will bring almost 50 new jobs for a highly specialized local workforce.
Thanks to the Orangeburg production plant, Valagro will be able to respond more effectively to the needs of the US market; which the Valagro Group already covers thanks to its subsidiary Valagro USA, which has been operating since 2000.
Giuseppe Natale, the CEO of Valagro, said that "the construction of the US production plant greatly supports our efforts to better serve some of the most important strategic markets, such as the US, Canada and Mexico. This means fully implementing Valagro's principle of customer centralization: the plant will allow us to improve our ability to meet the needs of customers by providing a wide range of sustainable and effective nutritional solutions. In addition, the new US plant is a fundamental part of Valagro's global production strategy and, more broadly, it is further proof that the company is growing globally. It is in line with our long-term strategy to affirm Valagro's key role in the global agricultural market."
