Zero-residue strawberries from Fellini Patrizio are now available. The company is known on a national and international level for its vegetable production. "These strawberries are a unique product certified by CCPB. They meet all requirements to be declared zero-residue," explain Emile Fellini and Lamberto Giovanardi.

Fellini Patrizio is now starting to distribute the fruit. Strawberries are of the Albion variety and are grown in Albania on 30 hectares.

"All 30 hectares are grown using protected cultivation techniques and, thanks to our overall 250 hectares, we can rotate crops every year. The land is virgin and the soil and weather conditions enable us to avoid using treatments. Most of all, the fact that the area is well-ventilated means there is no need for anti-fungal treatments."

Albion is a Californian variety that is not suitable for all types of areas but that found ideal conditions in Albania. Fruits have a high dry matter content and higher-than-average Brix levels. "This means strawberries have excellent organoleptic qualities."
"Our product does not look to compete with Italian strawberries as it is an entirely different thing. We do not know of other zero-residue strawberries."
