"Peaches, tomatoes and grapes took center stage"
DKIB Chairman Saffet Kalyoncu said that Russia is the primary market for Turkey's fresh fruits and vegetables exports.
Emphasising that fresh fruits and vegetables exports to Russia increased compared to the same period last year, Chairman Kalyoncu said that in the first nine-month period, peaches, tomatoes and grapes took center stage in exports to Russia.
"We expect high year-end export figures"
Pointing out that Turkish products are increasingly popular among Russian consumers, Kalyoncu said that this has a positive influence on exports.
Chairman Kalyoncu underlined that they have high expectations from year-end export figures and said: "We believe that our country and our region will increase fresh fruit and vegetable exports. Thus, higher export figures will be achieved. As DKIB, we work to this end."
