CarrieAnn Arias of Naturipe Farms:

“With the virtual format, we hope to have laser-focused connections without distractions”

This year’s United Fresh Live! trade show is featuring both new and returning exhibitors. One of the returning exhibitors is Naturipe Farms, who have been a central presence at the United Fresh show for many years. CarrieAnn Arias, Naturipe Farms’ VP of Marketing, says: “In past years, we have had a 20x20 booth space that we utilize for meeting with current and prospective customers, sampling new products and displaying our full product offering.”

Virtual setting could bring many advantages
Naturipe Farms is no stranger to using digital tools during trade shows, Arias shares. “At in-person trade shows, we rely on videos to help tell the story of our company and our products. Our physical booth is equipped with large TV monitors on which we play video footage of our field harvesting operations, and our packing and cooling facilities, as well as our family farmer stories and even recipe tutorials. Videos are a key component of our exhibit in order to visually bring to life the story of how we grow our berries and then ultimately bring them to consumers.”

Now that the show has switched to a virtual platform, Naturipe Farms is developing an even more comprehensive portfolio of digital assets. “One of the biggest advantages of in-person events is the one-on-one connections and conversations that help build and maintain relationships with customers, so our biggest adjustment with a virtual event will be making sure our digital assets can effectively represent who Naturipe is and what we do. We will be clear in our messaging and product education through our digital assets,” Arias explains.

While the virtual event makes the one-on-one connections and conversations a bit more difficult, there are also many advantages to a virtual setting. Arias says: “With this new virtual format, we are hoping to have the ability to be laser focused on connecting with attendees in real-time via video, without the distractions that an in-person event can bring. Our hope is that attendees will have the opportunity to spend as much time as they’d like learning about Naturipe and our products, without feeling the pressure and rush of perusing an entire trade show floor in two days. We are also hopeful that this virtual format will assist with thorough and timely follow-up after the show.”

Refreshed look and new product line
Naturipe’s varied product line will be featured again at this year’s United Fresh Live show. “We’ll be highlighting our full line of organic and conventional blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, cranberries and avocados, as well as our Naturipe Snacks,” Arias shares.

One of Naturipe’s main focuses at this year’s show will be the refreshed look for their Naturipe Snacks logo, as well as the repositioning of their current snack product lines. The Boost Bentos line will be re-launched with a refreshed look, but the company is also launching a new line. Arias says: “The new line is called Bliss Bentos. Healthy, convenient and indulgent, Naturipe Snacks’ Bliss Bento combines fresh-picked fruit with delicious specialty ingredients in one portable package. It’s a sweet treat that nourishes and satisfies with flavor, fiber, and Vitamin C.”

Overall, Naturipe Farms is looking forward to the event. “It is difficult to know what to expect as we venture into a fully virtual show format for the first time. It may take attendees and exhibitors some time to get familiar with navigating the virtual platform and to learn to access all the information they are seeking. We expect that we may not see the typical “opening rush” that we experience at an in-person trade show but hope that those we would like to connect with will find some quality time to engage with us through the digital platform,” Arias concludes.
