Mastronardi Produce is one of the companies exhibiting at the United Fresh virtual trade show next month and discusses why they will attend this unique event. “At a time when we have no choice but to be apart, it is great to see how the industry is connecting virtually,” says Nancy Pickersgill, the company’s Events Manager. “We have always supported the produce industry and organizations like United Fresh. The virtual show is a new and innovative way to get the industry together in a way we have never tried before.”
New customers
Mastronardi Produce is excited be a part of the virtual experience and see how it will be received in the industry. “This approach allows us to #stayhome, but still actively participate in a tradeshow. We will be able to connect and interact with customers who have the opportunity to virtually walk through our booth and educate them on our company, products and innovations, show them exciting videos, and answer any questions they may have in live chat groups,” Pickersgill commented. The company is hopeful that participating in this event will enable them to connect with a new group of customers who don’t usually attend tradeshows. “I see an opportunity for a new audience to gain knowledge on our SUNSET® brand and the greenhouse industry,” she said.
In addition to having a virtual booth, the company is also once again a sponsor of the event. “SUNSET is continuing to bring new items to market and the sponsorship opportunities with United Fresh allow us to showcase our newest product and packaging innovations in an exciting and creative new way,” Pickersgill commented.

Getting together without the costs of traveling
All the virtual events, conferences and meetings that United Fresh has scheduled during the week of June 15 may open up new opportunities to reach a broader audience without the costs of traveling. “While we can never replace the value of face-to-face events and interactions, it is wonderful to see us come together in the best way that we can at this time.” This event will help people connect and share a unique experience in a time when the industry is unable to be together. However, once people are comfortable with getting together, the produce industry will go back to meeting on show floors and engaging with one another. “All in all, we are a group of passionate people who genuinely enjoy gathering together,” Pickersgill finished.
