Industry 4.0 is a transition that is leading to a fully automated and interconnected industrial production.
The National Industry Plan 4.0 offers Italian companies tools to seize the opportunities for innovation and digital technology that are linked to the fourth industrial revolution. It foresees specific measures, which consider technological neutrality, by adopting a horizontal strategy and implementing factors. Initially introduced a few years ago, it has since evolved and been revised.
Observations based on the customer feedback have shown a tendency to incorporate the machinery already purchased into the "Company System", by using a customized software. We discussed this with Barbara Doria, a partner and the administration and marketing manager of B2A, a Trentino company that focuses on manufacturing execution systems and the integration of industrial systems through effective and flexible IT solutions that are easy to use for the client.

"Through our solutions we are able to connect the machines with the management, for example by recording all the data on the traceability of the product, from the arrival in the warehouse, to the processing phases, to the storage. Usually we work with fruit producers, in particular apple growers, but requests also come from other sectors," continued Doria. "Once integrated into the system, you can apply for a bonus, according to the Piano Impresa 4.0 of the 2020 Budget Law."
The systems installed by B2A are tailored specifically for the company and its needs.
It is, indeed, a challenge for the company. "Every time, we create a completely different solution than the previous ones, adapting it to the customer's needs. This is what distinguishes our work and we are trying to stand out for this," concluded Doria.
