“We were contacted by Passion Herbs manager Galo Ortiz who operates from Ecuador. He proposed making some shipments of ginger containers through Passion Herbs LLC and told us he had his own warehouse in Florida and could sell the containers. We made the shipments to Miami and after the arrival of the containers he stopped contacting us. We called him several times and wrote emails and he never answered us or paid us anything,” says Neira. “We’ve learned he searches through the internet for exporting companies, contacts them and does this. A Peruvian company contacted us and told us it was also a victim under the same modality.”
Neira added Inkawald has already filed a complaint and submitted it to PACA USDA.
