Women of Impact Award postponed

Global Women Fresh, an international network of Women in Produce coming together from the front lines to the front offices to close the gender divide, has made the difficult decision to postpone its annual Women of Impact Award and EmpowerHER Company Award.

Traditionally held during Fruit Logistics in Berlin, the program has been postponed in light of global tensions including the war on Ukraine.

“We are devastated to witness the daily atrocities in Ukraine, specifically the impact on the women and children. The unfortunate reality is that we will not be able to safely host our community this April in Berlin for these annual awards due to the heightened tensions in the region,” said Julie Escobar, founder and CEO, Global Women Fresh.

“Our passion for our mission has never been more strong. We will be donating 100 percent of our fundraising in the upcoming weeks to support the women and children of Ukraine,” she said.

Global Women Fresh will support existing aid and relief organizations who already are in place helping the women and children of Ukraine. Companies and individuals are encouraged to donate to this effort by visiting https://www.globalwomenfresh.com/sponsor/.
