Haciendas Bio and Biosphera commit to planting up to 190 hectares

The Ondine flat nectarine and donut peach program launches its Bio version

The Ondine flat nectarine and donut peach program, which has been present for years in the market with producers in the northern and southern hemispheres, is launching its Bio version in this campaign.

"The Ondine Bio program works with organic flat nectarines and donut peaches. It will have a lower production volume in relation to the conventional line but with unbeatable expectations," stated ASF Edition and Frutaria.

"Ondine's Bio version shares the same characteristics and virtues of the conventional production in terms of full coloration, pistil closure, and excellent taste quality," they added.

The production of organic flat nectarines and donut peaches is centralized in Spain. Currently, Haciendas Bio is Ondine Bio club's organic operator partner, with an area commitment of 150 hectares in 5 years. Biosphera, the organic production company with more than 30 years of experience in the sector, will join the project in 2031 and is committed to planting 40 hectares of organic donut peaches in 5 years.

"With the union of both companies to this project, we have opted for a model of agriculture that respects the Earth and its resources, using traditional agricultural systems and developing the least invasive and the most sustainable agricultural exploitation model we can," Frutaria and ASF Edition stated.

"Organic products are no longer only available in specialized stores, now anyone can find them in supermarket chains, where they are currently marketed in 500-gram presentations, among others. It's a direct sales format so consumers can eat Ondine at any time and in any place," they concluded.
