AgroFresh Solutions, Inc. has announced that it will participate in Interpoma in Bolzano, Italy, on November 17-19, at stand D22/46. Interpoma is the only international trade show devoted exclusively to apples, dealing with all aspects, from production to storage and marketing.
"Two decades ago, AgroFresh revolutionized the fruit sector with the launch of SmartFresh, the first ethylene management technology (1-MCP) that helps delay the ripening process of apples. Today, AgroFresh's portfolio for this crop includes: pre-harvest and post-harvest ethylene management solutions, digital monitoring and analysis technology, fungicides, coatings, disinfectants, detergents and packaging line equipment."
At Interpoma, AgroFresh experts will share information on its growing range of apple solutions, including:
- FreshCloud – AgroFresh's integrated digital platform that uses aggregated data, machine learning and artificial intelligence to sustainably deal with food waste reduction and obtain quality and supply chain insights, enabling real-time decision making with live analytics.
- FreshStart – This year, the company has launched new CAAE green-certified disinfectants for the wash water that comes in contact with apples. FreshStart degrades quickly without leaving any residues and can reduce contaminants in water treatment and help make water recycling more efficient and less costly.
- Harvista – AgroFresh's pre-harvest solution helps growers control how and when apples ripen, thereby helping expand the harvest window and allowing them to respond to unexpected weather conditions and changes in labor availability. Its unique mode of action allows for flexible use and has proven effective in improving quality yields and reducing waste.
- SmartFresh Quality System – The original industry-leading 1-MCP ethylene management technology. SmartFresh also has a proven impact on sustainability and energy savings. Recent studies have shown that through the combined use of SmartFresh and controlled atmosphere storage, it is possible to save an average of up to 7500 kWh during 6 months of storage (36% savings). This solution is already available for a wide range of crops, such as pears, plums, peaches and kiwifruit.
