Koheda set to host one of India’s largest, modern fruit markets

The Ranga Reddy district in Telangana state will soon host one of the country’s largest and modern fruit markets in India. State officials are finalizing plans for the Koheda Fruit Market to come up in Koheda village.

This weekend, Telangana Agriculture Minister S. Niranjan Reddy announced the final master plan for the construction of a fruit market on 80 ha of land. “Following the approval, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for the market,” he stated.

The Agriculture Minister added that once completed, the Koheda fruit market will be one of the biggest in India and one of the modern fruit markets in the world. The market is expected to have an infrastructure of international standards that will facilitate the export of fruits within the country and abroad.
