It is official: Lidl is a UEFA Euro 2024 partner. This partnership begins with this year's European Qualifiers. Lidl is thus a global UEFA partner for the European Qualifiers in 2023 and 2024 and for the finals in 2024 in Germany. The supermarket chain wants to use this partnership to highlight the importance of fresh fruits and vegetables and the benefits of sports and exercise for an active, healthy lifestyle.
"What we eat and how often we exercise affects our health and the environment enormously. That's why Lidl is developing its product range based on the planetary health diet to help customers consciously choose healthy, sustainably produced food. We're doing this by, for example, adopting new international standards for children's marketing campaigns," Lidl reports.
From June 14 to July 14, 2024, Europe's best national teams will gather in Germany. There, in ten cities, they will vie for the title of European Champion. "We're delighted to be part of an event that captivates our shoppers and staff worldwide," says Jeroen Bal, Customer Divisional Board Member at Lidl International.
"Just as our products are accessible to everyone, we want to do the same for UEFA EURO 2024 with, for instance, the Lidl Fan Zones. There will be supporters in many countries in which Lidl operates. What makes it even more special is that the final will be in the country where it all started for Lidl."
UEFA Marketing Director Guy-Laurent Epstein adds: "UEFA proudly welcomes Lidl as a European Qualifiers and UEFA EURO 2024 partner. Lidl's presence across the continent means it will contribute significantly to continuously promoting what will be another unforgettable competition. We also look forward to jointly promoting good health and well-being as shared well-being values of Lidl and UEFA."
