The EU banana production forecast for 2023 stands at 230.000 tons for Spain, 134.902 tons for France (Martinique and Guadeloupe), 1.496 tons for Cyprus and 925 tons for Greece.
The 2022 prices of banana produced in the EU and marketed outside their region of production (prices at the first port of unloading (goods not unloaded)) from January to December) in Euros per kg came in at €1.28 for goods from Spain, €1.22 for goods from Portugal, €0.97 for goods from Greece. The weighted EU average was €1.04.
