The president of the Brazilian Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruits and Derivatives (ABRAFRUTAS), Guilherme Coelho, celebrates good news for Brazilian grape exporters. According to the president of the Association, a recent visit to China made it possible for the organization, minister Carlos Fávaro and the team from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply to talk with the Chinese government and business leaders. This resulted in yet another step towards opening up the Chinese market for Brazilian grapes .
This is a very important moment for the sector, according to Guilherme, and accelerating these negotiations will bring countless advantages to the country.
Brazilian grapes are among the main fruits exported from Brazil. In 2021, more than 59 thousand tons were shipped. The São Francisco Valley region is the main export center for this fruit, 95% of the exported grapes come from this region.
