DIA sales increase 3.2% in Q1 2023, Spain drives results
Spanish retail group DIA has reported sales worth €1.78bln in the first quarter of its financial year, up 10% from the same period in 2022. The positive performance, especially in Spain and Portugal, allowed for a fourth consecutive positive quarter in net sales. In Portugal, like-for-like sales grew by 8.3% and net sales by 3.2%, to €140.5mln, offsetting the 7% reduction in store network and a decline in volume.
