Ukrainian farmer Vitaliy Bilan believes that the vegetable market has all the conditions for growth. He is confident that cabbage, potatoes, carrots, and onions are the first things that farmers should provide the country in a position of war.
Some positions on the vegetable market are pushing farmers to plant and grow more this year. This is a normal phenomenon, as a market and prices stimulate producers.
The farm enterprise “Pan Bilan” is a multifaceted company that cultivates 100 hectares of area. The main focus is greenhouse farming. There are also open ground areas with borscht set vegetables, up to 3 hectares of peaches and 1.5 hectares of sweet cherries.
According to the farmer, this year's vegetable harvest is difficult to predict due to the uncertain weather and war conditions. However, Ukrainian farmers focus on planting on time and making all the necessary fertilization to grow vegetables as efficiently as possible in the war and economic instability.
