Moroccan berry producer celebrates 10 years

iBerry, the Moroccan berry producer with a deep commitment to family, community, and quality, are celebrating a decade of success after their 10th anniversary on 17 June 2023. This occasion will be marked with an event on Wednesday, 4 October 2023, at Fruit Attraction in Madrid, Hall 1 Stand B05 "with a coming together of our community over cake".

In a world where adaptability and collaboration are key, iBerry Morocco has with a steadfast focus on delivering high quality, healthy berries, the journey of iBerry is a testament to the enduring efforts of the family farms who continue to invest.

What started with six visionary farmers seeking to work together in a true spirit of partnership and cooperation has blossomed into a success story that no one could have foreseen. "Unity was our foundation. We came together as a community of farmers with a shared dream and created iBerry, a name that now resonates across the industry," said Karim Riany, one of the founding members.

Over the past decade, iBerry has evolved significantly. Starting as a strawberry growing group, they rapidly expanded into raspberry production and have subsequently become a major player in the blueberry market. Now, they are embarking on the next new journey of blackberries, with other exciting prospects to follow. These changes are a testament to the dedication in the depth and variety of their berry offer.

The industry's perception of Moroccan berries has also evolved dramatically. Ten years ago, Morocco was considered in some markets as a low-cost alternative to Spain. Today, iBerry stands at the forefront of the Moroccan berry industry, helping set the standards for quality, service and innovation, changing those perceptions.

"I am immensely proud of iBerry Morocco's accomplishments over the past decade. Their contributions to the berry industry are undeniable," says Mohamed Alamouri, President of Interproberries, the interprofessional federation whose objective is to promote and develop the Moroccan berry sector.

As iBerry enters its second decade, the company remains committed to fostering partnerships, supporting its local community and delivering the highest quality berries to an ever-increasing list of countries worldwide.

“When we started our company in 2013, we could not have imagined in our dreams what we have created today. We based our company on ideals which hold for life; respect, fairness and hard work. Our management team are critical to our success, allowing the founders to focus on our farms, producing wonderful fruit. Our growers are the bedrock, with equality at the heart of it all. Then there are our amazing workers and our fabulous community, without whom we are all nothing. I’m immensely proud of what has been achieved so far, but aware that we have so much more to do and strive for. Ten years down, many many more to go!” states Karim Riany, Founder.
