Splendid by Porvenir LLC is a Nogales, Arizona-based fresh produce company with facilities in Northern Sinaloa, Mexico. It outsources mangoes from Brazil, Ecuador and Peru and the southern states of Mexico as well.
With 12 months of overlapping crops, the company is a year-round fresh produce distributor that, along with a full line of mangoes, offers green beans, sweet corn, bell peppers, cucumbers, several varieties of winter squash, limes and lemons.
Splendid strives to embrace new items that show promise with its customer base and has expanded its sales to not only include the U.S. market but also Canada and Europe. It works with many processors for a rapidly expanding fresh-cut market and develops value-added packaging and custom packs to meet customers’ needs.

Splendid is exhibiting at IFPA to present its company to key retail clients and further gain exposure within the produce industry. There it will display winter vegetable items along with highlighting its new mango packaging and products such as Jaguar Honeys, Bali Mango 4 Packs and Keitt Kong mangoes, which the company hopes to build on for upcoming seasons.
Along with retail and wholesale accounts from other parts of the country, the team hopes to spend time with those in the California trade it has relationships with, including many California retail chains and wholesalers. Along with making new connections, Splendid hopes to build programs for the upcoming year with several of the items it handles.
