Last year, in 2022, Interfresh Eurasia came back to Antalya after some years of absence due to the coronavirus. This year, the exhibition aimed to be back even bigger and better, a goal the organization succeeded in. There were more stands, more large Turkish exporters and also more visitors during the first day of the trade show.
A lot of exporters to Germany and India were present, meeting with their clients as well as their Turkish trade partners. From the various exporters you can hear a call to action to band together, to increase the reputation of Turkish fresh produce. Exporters state it will make them stronger on the longer term. Of course, the heatwave was also a point of discussion in many meetings, as some of the produce got damaged and will have lower volumes available.
The business2business meeting area had been discarded in order to place more stands and keep everyone available on the trade floor, which worked better for the most part. For next year, the event plans to move the exhibition to a new location, where it can grow even bigger than it has this year. The organization is doing what it can to put a worthy Turkish trade show on the map.
